Ventresca, Inc. is a third generation General Contractor specializing in Heavy Utility, Heavy and Highway projects, Site Development and Snow and Ice Management.

Ventresca, Inc’s story as a third generation General Contractor starts with first generation, Donato Ventresca who came to the USA to settle. However he did not come alone, he came with Domenic Ventresca a cousin. Both visionaries with nothing but the shirts on their backs strived and started Great Northern Constructors, Inc. in 1959. Heavy in utility work and masonry as they did not have the technology that we have today they constructed miles of pipeline for potable water, sanitary sewerage and drains. The majority of the infrastructure installed by them continues to be in use today. The construction of this day was preformed by cable excavators  and an abundant amount of man power wheel barrows and shovels.

The second generation starts in 1954 when John A. Ventresca the son of Donato Ventresca was born. In the 1970’s he started working with Donato and Domenic in the summers and weekends. He attended Wentworth here in Boston and became a Civil Engineer, specializing in Environmental Engineering and Water and Wastewater. When he graduated from Wentworth; J.F. White Contracting hired him in the Civil Construction division where he would gain experience in Steam Generation Plants, Train Stations, Subways and Buildings. As well as working with Great Northern. In the early 1980’s John had a son and started in a venture. He specialized in Heavy Utility and Heavy and Highway construction. His company  soon grew having two dozen dump spec dump trucks and large eight excavators and loaders. He was partaking in projects crossing rivers and marsh lands.

The Third Generation started in 2007 by John A. Ventresca Jr. with a college background in business and first hand experience in construction. John started worked along side his family learning the business.  The family provides the support of John A. Ventresca, Donato Ventresca(deceased 2015), and Domenic Ventresca. Domenic to this day gives his opinions and advice in several areas of construction; insights of geographical, geological conditions. John Sr. comes every day to the projects to help manage. Ventresca, Inc. has the best of all aspects new and old technologies.

Ventresca, Inc. provides all the services of its predecessors and additionally introduces new technologies.  Ventresca, Inc. also continues to provide snow services as his family did however we have expanded beyond municipal plowing and snow removal private and public. Ventresca has evolved into snow and ice management services encompassing all aspects required to give the best quality services for snow and ice removal. Ventresca has become a full service snow and ice management provider.
